More details have been revealed about the McLaren P1 concept, which was unveiled yesterday at the Paris Motorshow. McLaren aim to get a production version ready next year with deliveries of the new car to customers within 12 months of the car being displayed.
McLaren claim the downforce with the spoiler raised will be 600kg, a huge figure for a road car. A Drag Reduction System, “DRS”, will be developed for the car. DRS, will enable the rear wing to be stalled and allow the car to accelerate out of corners on a track and increase top speed.
